Luminor Bank has granted financing of EUR 6,3 million to Livonia Print Ltd., one of the largest and most modern printing houses in Northern Europe. The funds are earmarked for the purchase and installation of new, advanced production equipment, strengthening the company’s operational efficiency, technical capabilities, and long-term competitiveness in key export markets.

Livonia Print employs around 550 specialists and produces over 60 % of all books printed in Latvia. The company operates with a strong international focus, exporting approximately 97 % of its output.

The new equipment purchase will allow Livonia Print to optimize its production processes and maintain cost efficiency while upholding high-quality standards for its global clients.

“In the printing and publishing industry, market leadership is defined by operational efficiency, continuous technological adaptation, and the ability to maintain strong international partnerships. Following a period of broader market rebalancing, demand in the book publishing sector is stabilizing, and companies with advanced production infrastructure are best positioned for growth. Livonia Print has built an exceptional track record as a high-quality exporter, and we are pleased to support their continued investments in modern technology,” says Ilze Zoltnere, Head of the Corporate Department of Luminor bank in Latvia.

Following market-wide destocking trends over recent years, sector demand began recovering in early 2025, with Livonia Print projecting a revenue growth of approximately 7 % for the year. The investment directly aligns with the company’s strategic focus on preserving market share, maintaining predictable production volumes, and offering competitive pricing to top-tier international publishers.

“Our ability to compete internationally relies heavily on efficiency, modern production infrastructure, and strong customer relationships. Investing in advanced machinery allows us to streamline operations, maintain high output quality, and respond flexibly to the requirements of leading European publishing houses. This financing supports our strategy to solidify our market presence in Scandinavia and Germany while driving further growth in expanding markets like France and the UK,” says Roberts Ēriks Sniedze, Chief Financial Officer at Livonia Print Ltd.

Livonia Print serves a diverse portfolio of over 700 customers across 24 countries, including major global publishing houses such as Bonnier, Egmont, and Penguin Group.
