Vision Finance Latvia Association sees Latvia among the leading EU member states in developing an open and transparent financial environment. This implies the necessity for a cooperation platform involving all stakeholders to stir discussion and offer well thought-out solutions on sectoral topicalities and domestic economy related matters.
Objective In collaboration with public, non-governmental and other cross-sectoral partners to zealously target improvement of business and financial services environment in Latvia and to enhance the international reputation and competitiveness of Latvia’s financial sector.
To achieve the set targets and ensure strategic development of the sector, the work of the Association is organized in committees, sub-committees and ad-hoc groups composed of experts – members of the Association.
Action Organization’s operating principles and core values are openness, responsibility and cooperation.
The association represents the interests of the financial sector at different institutions nationwide and internationally and coordinates that all sectoral issues on the agenda are properly addressed. The association provides advisory support to its members and its Ombudsman helps identify and resolve disputes between local banks and their clients.
Currently, Finance Latvia Association unites 31 financial industry companies and operates in accordance with the statutes approved by the members’ meeting.
